Failure is Not the End

I didn't write this, but I think it is worth sharing. All too often we think of failure as a devastating event and of course it is in the moment, but years later we can look back on the event and see how it lead us on a different path or made us try event harder. Consider these "failures." *Michale Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team. He went home, locked himself in his room and cried. *Steve Jobs was devastated at age 30 when he was ousted from the company he started. He later returned to even great success. *The Beatles were rejected by Decca. They didn't like their sound. *Walt Disney was fired from a newspaper for lack of imagination and having no original ideas. *Oprah was demoted from a television anchor position because she wasn't suited for television. There are many other stories of very successful people who "failed." Obviously none of them gave up. We all face trials in business and we will almost certainly face failure. The key is to try to learn from the failure and come back stronger.
